Two awards stand out as the most prestigious Cacique Awards: The Lifetime Achievement Award and the Minister of Tourism’s Award for Hospitality.

Lifetime Achievement Award

This award goes to the person who has consistently made outstanding contributions to the growth of tourism for 20 years or more. The recipient of this award is announced prior to awards night, and the bestowing of this award is considered the highlight of the Cacique presentations.

Minister of Tourism’s Award for Hospitality

The Hospitality Award goes to an individual who has best exemplified Bahamian hospitality through genuine friendliness and concern toward visitors. This individual is not necessarily employed in the tourism industry.
